Morays - scary!!!!!

One of fishes that I do not really like to be around is moray eels!!! They do look scary under water, but most of instructors claim that morays are not the fish to be frightened of. They are very friendly, unless they are hungry!!!!

My Favourite Dive Site - Makadi Bay, Egypt

Just wanted to talk a bit about my favourite dive site ~~~~ Makadi Bay ~~~~. The diving here was fantastic!!!! With its variety of fish form octopus to unicorn fish, and the masses of untouched, unspoilt corals, this site is something to remember.

We went down to 18 meters, as the whole site is quite deep. I think Konstantin liked this site too. Some of the fish that we have seen here can be seen on the pictures.

The most amazing thing there was the corals. Here is a picture of table corals.

Where did we stay in Hurghada?

Oh, actually this was our second stay at Grand Hotel Hurghada... It is an amazing place which was built about 20-25 years ago. This hotel has beautiful gardens, and lovely sandy beach. Great Place for kids and adults, and it also has our favourite diving centre.

Our PADI Open Water Course in June 2005

My husband Konstantin and I did our PADI Open Water course with Euro-Divers in Hurghada last summer ( June 2005). The course was great, as we had Daniel Sandana as our instructor (PADI # 962836) for the first 2 days, and then I ate something funny at the hotel ( we were staying at Grand Hotel Hurghada ), and spent 2 days in bed recovering. We have finished our course a few days later with Basile Gagnebin (PADI #959280). Both of these guys were great as they gave us the basics :) So in the end we did 12 dives including the course qualifying dives, and managed to obtain Nitrox licence too.
